On Friday 8 August and Saturday 9 August we had services in honour of Great Martyr Panteleimon (+305 AD), the heavenly patron of our parish.  All-night Vigil with the blessing of wheat, wine, oil and five loaves was served by our  parish rector on Friday evening.  The lesser blessing of water was served early on Saturday morning, after which Archbishop George arrived.  Many friends from Sydney and Newcastle also joined us.  Vladyka George then presided at Divine Liturgy, assisted by our parish rector and visiting clergy Archpriest Dionisy Halim (Wollongong), Protodeacon Alexander Kotlaroff (Strathfield), and Deacon Michal Matys (Carlton).  The choir, strengthened by a number of visiting choristers, sang beautifully under the direction of Nikolai Morozow.  Following Divine Liturgy, a moleben to Saint Panteleimon was served.  At the conclusion of the services on Saturday a festive meal was enjoyed by those present.
