On Saturday 17 January and Sunday 18 January we had services for the Thirty-Second Sunday after Pentecost and the Eve of the Great Feast of Theophany.  On Saturday evening Matins was served and on Sunday morning, Divine Liturgy followed by Vespers and the Great Blessing of Water.  Despite the heat and the great length of the service, many people gathered in church and remained to the end to partake of the Holy Water.  That afternoon the parish rector visited a number of parish homes for the customary Theophany blessing.  On the following day a number of our parishioners travelled to the parish of Saint Nicholas, Wallsend, to participate in the festive services there.
