On Saturday 20 June and Sunday 21 June we had services for the Third Sunday after Pentecost and in honour of Great-Martyr Theodore the General (“Stratelates”) (+319AD).  It being the Apostles’ Fast, a number of people took the opportunity to confess and receive the Holy Mysteries.  Following Divine Liturgy, the rector announced that a fragment of the relics of Great-Martyr Panteleimon, a gift to our parish from Metropolitan Hilarion, had been enshrined in a small reliquary and placed in the case enclosing the main parish icon of our heavenly protector.  He asked that when venerating the relics, the faithful particularly pray for Vladyka Hilarion, his health having been poor in recent weeks.
