On Tuesday 18 August and Wednesday 19 August we had services for the Great Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.  All-night vigil with the blessing of five loaves and wheat, wine and oil was served on Tuesday evening with our full choir singing under Olga Itsikson’s direction.  Following Divine Liturgy on the day of the feast we had the customary blessing of fruit.  There was also a blessing of honey, a number of jars of organic honey again having been given to our parish.  The blessed honey was afterwards distributed amongst the faithful.
