Services on 3-4 November, the Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost - 04/11/2018

On Saturday 3 November and Sunday 4 November, we had services for the Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost and the day of commemoration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.  As Saturday 3 November was Saint Demetrius Saturday, a day of commemoration of the departed, there was a general memorial service prior to All-night vigil on Saturday evening.  At Divine Liturgy on Sunday, prayers were again offered for Orthodox Church unity, for relief from drought in Australia, and for peace in Ukraine.  At the end of the service a brief moleben was served before a copy of the Kazan Icon of the Mother God.  Following Divine Liturgy announcements were made concerning the coming parish Annual General Meeting.
